Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Location: Gillingham
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: 47,423.09
  • Shift Pattern: Rotating 3 shift 06.00 - 14.30, 13.45 - 22.15 and 22.00 - 06.30 and on call every 3rd weekend.

We are seeking an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role involves general electrical and mechanical servicing, repairs, installation, testing, and routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machinery and site facilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Carry out general electrical and mechanical servicing, repairs, installation, and testing on various production machinery including plastic extrusion, printing, plating process, automated warehouse, and site facilities.
  • Attend breakdowns promptly, taking appropriate action to return plant to production while adhering to safe working procedures and maintaining a standard of good engineering practice.
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as required, ensuring all electrical installations adhere to safe working procedures, instructions, legal, and best practice requirements.
  • Propose alterations and improvements to all systems, plant, equipment, and tools in the interests of the company and Engineering Department.
  • Keep clear, complete, and appropriate records of all work carried out and ensure that the Senior Team Leader, Maintenance is kept informed on all key issues.
  • Stay updated with technical and process developments throughout the company.
  • Follow safe systems of work and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Attend call outs as required by a roster.
