A leading building materials company is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Aldridge. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (known internally as a Maintenance Electrician) at our Sandown site, you will be part of our hands‑on in‑house team who keep the plant running by ensuring the equipment runs smoothly. From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands‑on with specialist machinery, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It’s a dynamic role where problem‑solving skills and technical expertise are used daily, and you will be a key player contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes. Our engineers have a varied role, so you’ll get the chance to use a variety of electrical skills associated with being an electrician and service engineer.

The normal working pattern is 4 on 4 off, over an 8‑week rolling shift pattern of early and late which averages 38.125 hours per week. Earliest are typically 6.30am to 6.30pm and lates are typically 11.00am to 11.00pm. Any shifts that fall on the weekend will be early with varying start times depending on the rota, with a finish time no later than 7.00pm.
You will be an electrically biased engineer with experience of working in a manufacturing / factory environment, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline. Safety is our biggest priority, so you’ll be committed to safe working and have strong experience of health and safety best practice. You’ll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands‑on, and being flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently. As this role is sometimes physically demanding, you’ll be fit enough to perform your various duties.
