Overview

MMB has worked with Yorkshire Water since 1999, delivering a variety of projects from restoring reservoirs to upgrading water treatment and wastewater facilities. The role focuses on projects in the UK water market, providing feasibility, design, construction and commissioning services to keep water flowing and wastewater treated, and supports the journey to chartership or cross-discipline development. The role of an Electrical Engineer Project Leader includes:

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a “project triangle” alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure technical, constructability and commercial aspects are considered throughout project delivery.
• Leading the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from the initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinating the project team including civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the required quality.
• Undertake design in own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with the client’s project, operational and technical assurance teams and promoting a "one-team" approach.
