Job summary

A leading education provider in Walsall is seeking an experienced PRU Behaviour Support to support Key Stage 3 students with varying needs in a PRU setting. The role requires prior experience as a PRU teaching assistant, a strong understanding of SEND, and the ability to engage and inspire students. With full-time hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, this temporary position offers a salary between £95 and £110 per day, dependent on experience. Applications from dedicated candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a PRU TA is essential.
  • Experience within Special Needs education.
  • Ability to support young SEND learners.

Responsibilities

  • Support Key Stage 3 (KS3) learners in a PRU environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support.
  • Assist multiple students with varying needs.

Skills

Experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
Excellent knowledge of the UK SEND school system
Safeguarding level 1 trained
DBS on the update service
Compassionate and nurturing approach

Education

Qualified Teaching Assistant - ideally level 3 or equivalent
