Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking a Duty Manager for a leisure centre in Sothall, Sheffield. This ongoing temp-to-perm role involves overseeing the daily operations, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations, and supervising staff including lifeguards. The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS, RLSS accredited training, and relevant experience. Hourly pay is £17.00, with weekly pay on Fridays and hours from Tuesday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS with CBL list is mandatory.
• Must have RLSS accredited training.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily running of leisure centre, ensuring all facilities run and operate safely.
• Act as primary contact for any construction-related activities on site.
• Conduct regular building, poolside, and plant room inspections.

Sectors: Facilities Management

Dayrate: £17.00 + per hour UMBRELLA

Duration: Ongoing temp-to-perm.

Fawkes & Reece are hiring for a Duty Manager for a large UK contractor, to oversee the daily running of a leisure centre, ensuring all facilities operate safely and efficiently.

What you'll do as a Duty Manager:

• Oversee daily running of leisure centre, ensuring all facilities run and operate safely
• Act as primary contact for any construction‑related activites on site, coordinating with contractors
• Conduct regular building, poolside, and plant room inspections
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including safeguarding, risk assessments, and emergency procedures
• Supervise lifeguards, instuctors, and general leisure staff
• Maintain safe pool operations in line with industry standards and centre policies
• Oversee operation of pool plant equipment, ensuring water quality is monitored and maintained to standards.

Required Qualifications/Experience for the Duty Manager:

• Enhanced DBS with CBL list
• Have RLSS accredited training
• Experience working in similar role
• Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (desirable)

Hours

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Rota/schedule provided once offered
• Weekly pay on a Friday
