Design Technology / Hospitality Technician
Location: Secondary School, Newham
Contract: Full-time / Permanent (term time only)

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic DT/Hospitality Technician to support our busy Design Technology and Hospitality departments. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping deliver creative, practical learning experiences for our students.

About the role:

  • Prepare, maintain, and organise equipment, tools, and materials for DT and Hospitality lessons.

  • Ensure that workshops, kitchens, and specialist areas are safe, well-stocked, and ready for use.

  • Support teaching staff during practical sessions, including demonstrations and supervision when required.

  • Assist with ordering, stock control, and maintaining machinery and appliances.

  • Promote a culture of health and safety in all DT and Hospitality areas.

About you:

  • Practical skills and experience in a workshop, catering, or hospitality environment (school or industry).

  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong awareness of health and safety, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
