Distribution Assistant Technical Officer

The closing date is 09 February 2026.

To undertake duties under supervision to manage stock of medications within the pharmacy department and ward areas within the Trust. The role includes tasks such as:

  • Preparing stock orders for transport to external locations.
  • Performing top up services in clinical areas within the Trust.
  • Delivering medications to ward areas.
  • Maintaining stock within the department.

We are looking for an individual who has a good work ethic and a keen interest in working as part of a pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, organisational and communication skills to enhance our ability to provide medicines to the hospital and surrounding areas.

You will be an excellent communicator as the role requires interacting with healthcare professionals and the wider Pharmacy team.

The successful candidate must be willing to work towards a level 2 BTEC qualification in stock management.
