  • Act as an in-house expert on economic, societal and technological implications of AI.
  • Support the management and training of junior colleagues.
  • Support new business development by spotting opportunities and contributing to proposals.
Job description
TECH & ECONOMICS

Public First has rapidly growing Tech & Economics practices which works on projects around the world. We are hired by some of the biggest companies in the world to combine rigorous economic modelling and polling with compelling narratives, and our impact reports have been published in almost every global market. Our work is read by key policy makers and journalists. They are a critical way in which our clients communicate what they do, why it matters, and the opportunities and policy questions for technology and society.

THE ROLE

We are looking to hire a new Director who will sit in our Economics practice, and supervise all our modelling work that focuses on the impact of technology.

That means exploring some of the biggest questions of today:

  • How AI will reshape our economies and societies – and what we need to do to prepare
  • How the media landscape is evolving in an Internet first era
  • The wider impacts of the gig economy on work, retail and restaurants
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the modelling on all tech related projects.

LOCATION AND SALARY

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package with significant flexibility based on experience.

We work both in the office and from home, with core office days on Monday and Thursday. Our main office is based in Westminster. Many of us, including the founders, have young children and we work hard to be family friendly.
