Overview

Dietitian - Eating Disorders

Hours - Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Location - Southampton

Salary - £27,000 - £48,000 per annum (DOE)

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join a dedicated healthcare team in Southampton on a permanent, full-time basis. This role focuses on supporting patients with eating disorders, working within a compassionate, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with eating disorders to identify deficiencies and dietary challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualised meal plans that support recovery and address both medical and psychological needs.
  • Provide education and counselling to patients and families around balanced nutrition, healthy eating behaviours, and relapse prevention.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and medical staff to deliver integrated treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, adapt nutrition interventions, and help manage complications associated with eating disorders.
Essential requirements
  • Degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Strong skills in nutritional assessment, meal planning, and counselling for complex medical and psychological needs.
  • Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
