PURPOSE OF JOB
Thepurpose of the post is to provide specialist diabetic nursing services to thepatients of the practice.
SCOPE OF JOB
The PNwill perform tasks prescribed and delegated by the GP Partners, workingunsupervised to Patient Group Directions, agreed protocols, within an evidencebase and within defined competencies.
The PNwill assess patients and plan, implement and review treatment programmes.
The PNwill have shared responsibility for supervision of lower grade members of thenursing team and the delegation of duties according to training and competence.
