A leading healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a Training Programme Director responsible for the commissioning and quality management of Dental Foundation Training. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and proficiency in educational programme delivery. Candidates should have relevant experience in NHS General Dental Practice and a strong understanding of training objectives. This is a fixed-term position with an emphasis on in-person collaboration.
The Training Programme Director (TPD) is primarily responsible for the commissioning and provision of, and quality managing Dental Foundation Training within NHS Primary Care dental practices. The Dental Foundation Training Programme Director will be accountable to the Postgraduate Dental Dean under the direction of the Associate Dean or equivalent, for the discharge of their responsibilities. The post holder will have a demonstrable working knowledge of the aims and objectives of Dental Foundation Training and NHS General Dental Practice. They will act as a point of support for Educational Supervisors and Foundation Dentists involved with the Dental Foundation Training Scheme and will contribute to training and delivery of educational programmes relevant to DFT.
