Job description

Contract Type – Temporary ongoing

Hours – Typical attendance will be between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday, however you may be required to work overtime and weekends (subject to business requirements) Flexibility is essential.

Location - Beckton

About the role - You will start your day loading and carrying out safety checks on your vehicle, once your vehicle is loaded you’ll be busy collecting and delivering parcels in specific geographical areas around East London, delivering in excess of 60 parcels per day. Training will be provided and you will be required to take a driving assessment prior to your start date. You must go the extra mile for client and your customers as you have full responsibility in ensuring you deliver everything from birthday presents to vital business information.

About you - Our drivers are the face of our client so we are looking for someone who is helpful and friendly and looking for a long-term opportunity in an ambitious and growing company. A positive person with good people skills, presentable in appearance and has a strong work ethic. It is important that you’re able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.

Prior experience doing deliveries or courier driving in a 3.5T van is preferred but not essential, you will also need your own sat nav to support you with the provided route planner

Successful candidates will have a full clean UK driving licence (6 points or less will be considered).

Suitable candidates will be subject to a security vetting process and DBS Checks, so will need to provide documents of proof of ID, proof of address and 5-year address history
