Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturing site in the Christchurch area, is currently looking for an order entry clerk to join their busy offices.
Responsibilities
- Primarily office based with occasional requirement to work limited time in the operational area.
- Liaise with unpacking to identify problem units before induction.
- Triage problem units, separating them from workable workflow.
- Organise (Excel), and locate above units on dedicated racks in the OE area.
- Identify/categorize the nature of the issue(s) preventing induction.
- Raise (outgoing) query via SAP Z-Task to customer focal.
- Review (incoming) responses from customer focal and action accordingly.
- Liaise regularly (Z-task/E-mail) with customer focal to resolve stubborn holds.
- Liaise with other depts regarding technical questions arising from above.
- Run daily reports (Excel), showing ongoing progress and potential bottlenecks; ensure these are available to leadership for daily meetings.
- Analyse report data and highlight areas of opportunity for hold reduction.
- Expand role (after training/supervision) to include induction of the previously held orders.
- General administrative work.
Qualifications/Attributes

- Able to work to a high degree of accuracy in the aerospace industry.
- Possess good communication skills, able to interact with internal and external clients / customers.
- Able to work within a small team environment and equally on own at times.
- Team and goal driven.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime when the business need requires.
- Willing to take and follow instruction.
- Comfortable to work unsupervised, (After training).
- Have a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- SAP experience an advantage and/or other WMS.
- Able to assist in the Receiving department when a need arises. (requires some heavy lifting).
- Prior knowledge of the aerospace industry an advantage but not essential.
