Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Data Centre Technician to support logistics and inventory management in London. The role includes managing physical inventory, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with data regulations. We look for candidates with warehouse experience and basic Microsoft Office skills. Qualifications

  • Previous data centre experience is preferred.

Job description

Job Title: Data Centre Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2

Location: London

Remuneration: 28 per hour

Contract Details: Until 30th June 2026

Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  • Utilise process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks without direct supervision.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and Rack Movement Supervisor activities.
  • Ensure thorough physical inventory tracking and staging.
  • Conduct inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Centre regulatory compliance audits.
  • Manage material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard processes.
  • Follow documented procedures for the destruction of data-bearing devices (DBD).
Requirements
  • Experience in warehouse/supply chain within an IT environment, inventory management, retail, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Previous data centre experience is preferred.
