A leading educational organization in Rochdale is seeking a passionate Qualified Dance Teacher to inspire students in Dance. This full-time role includes planning and delivering lessons across KS3-KS5, with teaching focused on the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts Dance curriculum. Ideal candidates will have QTS and a recognized Dance qualification, alongside excellent classroom management skills. The position offers a competitive daily pay and the potential for a permanent contract.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience teaching Dance within a secondary school.
  • Experience delivering the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts Dance curriculum.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Pay: 160 - 200 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, long-term Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3pm with potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Dance lessons across KS3-KS5.
  • Teach and assess to the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts Dance curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider performing arts department and school community.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour management.
Requirements
  • A recognised Dance qualification.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching Dance within a secondary school, specifically delivering the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts Dance Specification.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
