Overview

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Curriculum Leader of Humanities. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy - the successful applicant will be expected to provide strong leadership that results in a Humanities Department which provides first class teaching and learning opportunities for both students and staff, instigates and develops innovative approaches to Humanities that will stimulate all students to achieve their full potential and ensure the delivery of high-quality provision in curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Responsibilities

The Curriculum Leader of Humanities will provide leadership to the Humanities Department, drive high-quality teaching and learning, and develop innovative approaches to enhance student achievement and engagement across curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications
  • Good honours degree in a directly related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum developments in the subject and their implications.
