Are you a creative thinker with a flair for design and digital storytelling? Join our dynamic Communications and Visitor Economy team and help bring Wyres brand to life!

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Creative and Digital Content Officer to support the development of engaging visual content across print, digital, and social media. You’ll help shape campaigns, produce eye-catching graphics, film and edit videos, and manage social media conversations that connect with our community.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality visual and digital content that supports the council’s communications objectives and enhances public engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of graphic design materials for both print and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the council’s brand identity.
  • Support the development and implementation of social media campaigns, including content creation and community management.
  • Produce and edit video content for use across various digital channels.
  • Attend council events to capture live content and provide engaging real-time social media coverage.
  • Ensure all communications materials meet accessibility standards and reflect best practice.
Skills And Experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience in video production and editing for social media.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet deadlines.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience in monitoring and managing social media platforms.
  • A portfolio of relevant design work.

This role requires a commitment to upholding the council’s values of professionalism, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus. The successful candidate will be expected to attend occasional out-of-hours meetings and events, including weekends where required.
