Overview

Baker Hughes is seeking a corrosion scientist to work in the Integrity Management Technology team based at the Liverpool Centre of Excellence site. You will be comfortable working around production chemicals in a laboratory setting and be able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. You will collaborate with other members of the technology team, customers and other relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.

Responsibilities
  • Performing corrosion inhibitor evaluations in a laboratory research environment.
  • Conducting atmospheric, high temperature and pressure autoclave testing on oil, water samples and product formulations.
  • Communicating and presenting data to clients and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Analysing and interpreting technical data to help customers solve their problems and produce aligned technical reports.
  • Practising safe working habits, including complying with HSE rules and regulations.
  • Handling special projects as assigned.
  • Flexible working patterns in line with local policy.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related subject.
  • Some experience in a lab setting with corrosion applications.
  • Project management skills: ability to handle multiple projects at a high standard.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player mindset.
  • Ability to work on own initiative once fully trained.
