Overview

Our client has recently restructured their protective services program and has partnered with SMR to recruit multiple new corporate and residential protection specialists to join their team. These positions are in various cities across the U.S., with responsibilities that differ depending on the location. Successful candidates will become part of a comprehensive protective operations program focused on safeguarding individuals, property, facilities, and events from threats or harm in both corporate and residential environments. These positions offer an excellent opportunity for professionals with earlier career experience in the military, law enforcement, or government agencies. Candidates interested in roles in California must have or be able to obtain a California CCW (License to Carry) Permit. Responsibilities
  • Offer expert guidance to and deliver discreet executive protection services for principals, family members, visitors, and corporate event attendees.
  • Monitor intelligence sources to detect potential threats and collaborate across departments to achieve goals through appropriate protective measures.
  • Conduct advance travel planning and perform comprehensive security risk assessments for destinations and events.
  • Build and support strong partnerships with local government agencies and corporate entities to ensure seamless coordination during emergencies or crisis situations.
  • Accompany principals, family members, and corporate executives on travel, including assignments that may arise on short notice.
Requirements, Experience, Skills, and Competencies
  • Experience in a corporate or private family EP role required with a public-sector protection services background highly desirable.
  • A university degree or continuing education within a related discipline such as criminal justice or security management is also highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others to build a cohesive, high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities with the ability to quickly assess situations.
  • Fluent in English with effective professional communication skills across all organizational levels and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform effectively in various work environments, including residential, corporate, and event settings.
  • Familiarity with physical security systems and related technologies used to monitor premises.
  • Candidates for California-based roles must currently have or be able to obtain a California CCW (License to Carry) Permit.
