Overview

Structural Engineer - Contract - 6 months +, £28-£35 per hour, London SW9

Small, friendly, busy and well established structural engineering consultancy require another pair of hands to join their structural team! Quick start desirable! The contract will initially be for 6 months but likely ongoing further.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on design work as an experienced buildings designer, able to work on London cut and carve projects of varying sizes and values involving steel, concrete and masonry.
  • Conduct site inspections and contribute to project progress on site.
  • Prepare and contribute to reports as part of project delivery.
Projects and sector experience
  • Projects cover sectors such as medical buildings, care homes, refits, high end residential, mixed use and commercial buildings.
  • Projects can go up to £28m in value.
Requirements and qualifications
  • Ideally able to use AutoCAD, and will be Chartered or nearing Chartered status.
  • Flexible all‑rounder with the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Good English and communication skills are essential.
Role details

The role will involve hands on design, site inspections and some report writing as well. The role is office based in SW9.
