Job description

Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Creating collating analysing and inputting data gathered from the shopfloor (job cards) to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Working closely with Engineering Leads to track and monitor part deliveries ensuring timely availability of components
  • Managing mould equipment life expectancy and scrappage utilising information from the Engineering team and SAP
  • Collaborating with the Quality team to prepare daily and monthly reports on production metrics and quality indicators
  • Liaising with the Quality Manager on stock availability rework requirements and defect analysis
  • Identifying items for reorder and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production needs
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conducting regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques across the production floor
  • Facilitating cross-functional communication between Engineering Quality and Production teams to drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Participating in root cause analysis sessions to address recurring issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate records of improvement projects including progress tracking and outcome measurements
  • Assisting in the training and development of shopfloor staff on continuous improvement methodologies and tools
  • Contributing to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in SAP and experience using Excel to analyse and present data - Working knowledge of other Microsoft products including Word PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a continuous improvement or similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Kaizen) - Experience in data analysis and report generation with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across various departments
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing quality control measures - Knowledge of production processes and inventory management techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed
