About The Role

This role will provide key support to the Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications. The candidate will be responsible for helping to plan, develop and execute engaging short and long-form marketing content across digital and print mediums. Their purpose is to deliver compelling and relevant content across the business channels within the agreed timescales in order to maximise engagement and drive forward 7IMs vision of delivering an unrivalled experience.

Responsibilities
  • Content planning work closely with the wider Marketing Team as well as other relevant teams to identify content creation requirements and agree how best to deliver them.
  • Content production - write compelling collateral for both the Intermediary and Private Wealth business channels including: brochures, sales aids, articles, web copy, white papers, award submissions, presentations, letters and other related marketing content and communications. Where necessary, brief and coordinate internal and external writers to produce relevant and timely content.
  • Content delivery - ensure delivery of content is on time, within budgets and meets key deliverables.
  • Proofreading and editing review content that is produced to ensure quality, tone, and consistency of message is maintained. Where appropriate, improve existing resources to ensure that are up to date and relevant.
  • Stakeholder management - continuously maintain the highest standards of professionalism and build good relationships with all stakeholders in the business.
About You
Skills & Knowledge
  • Excellent writing skills - highly articulate writer who can demonstrate their ability to synthesize complex topics to produce compelling but easily digestible content for a range of audiences.
  • Adaptable as well as the ability to write for different audiences, the candidate must be able to adapt their writing style to suit various mediums and formats e.g. web copy, letters, adverts, brochures etc.
  • Strong proofreading skills - keen eye for detail to ensure content is consistent in tone and message, and is grammatically correct.
  • Well-organised - be able to manage competing priorities to produce content that it is delivered within agreed delivery dates.
  • Pragmatic and detail-oriented - be flexible and switch focus quickly whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Creative - can find fresh and effective ways to communicate technical concepts that may have been written about many times before.
  • Collaborative must be a team player who is able to work with multiple teams to deliver consistent and engaging communications
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of writing investment, retirement, financial planning and wealth management content.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry within the wealth/investment management and financial intermediary sector.
  • Understanding and practical experience of financial promotions rules and compliance sign off processes.
Qualifications
  • No specific qualifications are required but degrees in relevant subjects are desirable.
  • Should have at least 5 years experience in a content writing and production role, ideally within financial services.
Other Relevant Information
  • Reports to Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications.
  • Occasional travel to the Edinburgh office may be required.
  • The successful candidate will be client focussed, self-motivated, adaptable and resilient.
  • The candidate will need to understand and subscribe to 7IMs mission and tenets and in particular the Code of Conduct.
