Lead specialist neuropsychiatry care for patients with acquired brain injury across hospital sites
Act as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act for detained patients
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and contribute to enhancing our rehabilitation model
Provide expert psychiatric advice and participate in service improvement initiatives
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric treatment, leading weekly clinical meetings and case management
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals to safeguard patient care
Participate in on-call rota to maintain continuous service delivery
Support and mentor junior psychiatry staff, ensuring compliance with Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) Approval
MB BS or equivalent medical qualification, full GMC registration with a licence to practise
MRCPsych qualified with Approved Clinician status and Section 12 approval
Strong clinical skills informed by a bio-psycho-social approach and sound medical knowledge
Proven experience in clinical audit, quality improvement, and collaborative leadership
In-depth understanding of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act responsibilities
Excellent decision-making ability, prioritising evidence-based practice and patient-centred care
