Role Summary

A Teacher of Computer Science will lead KS3 and KS4 teaching, preparing students for Edexcel Pearson IGCSE exams and fostering curiosity, problem‑solving, and a love of technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high‑quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Contribute to a departmental culture of purpose, pride, and academic excellence.
  • Support the implementation of effective quality‑assurance processes to ensure outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate in the development of curriculum plans, departmental schemes of work, and teaching resources.
  • Model exemplary classroom practice and support colleagues' professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and professional standards.
  • Provide appropriate work in the event of staff absence and support whole‑school duties as required.
  • Ensure students achieve their academic targets in Computing and Computer Science.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
