Risk & Compliance Officer – London | Permanent | £45,000
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with client and matter onboarding, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and firm policies.
  • Conduct AML checks, review KYC documentation, and perform sanctions searches.
  • Support the application and review of engagement terms.
  • Monitor ongoing client risk and maintain accurate matter information.
  • Help produce compliance reports and assist with audits.
  • Set up and amend information barriers and insider lists.
  • Deliver internal training and contribute to process improvement projects.
About You:
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a compliance role within a regulated organisation (ideally a law firm).
  • Law degree or GDL qualification, with some legal work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AML and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and work both independently and as part of a global team.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
