THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 15 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Community Staff Nurse to work in our Denbighshire Flying Start team.

The post holder will support the Health Visiting Team to provide a service based on the Healthy Child Wales Programme as indicated by Welsh Government. They will support the Health Visitors by carrying out delegated tasks and by providing support to parents/carers in helping their child to acquire the skills required for starting school, whilst contributing to the delivery and organisation of the public health programme.

Main duties of the job

Based within the community setting the Community Staff Nurse will be responsible for assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care offered to families under the supervision of the delegating Health Visitor. They will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing their own work load and delivering evidenced based practice to families, delivering the Healthy Child Wales Contacts.

We offer an induction and preceptorship programme and the post holder will receive regular managerial supervision, and safeguarding supervision from our Clinical Nurse Specialist Safeguarding.

This post may be seen as a developmental post, with the applicant possibly applying for the SCPHN training in the future.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
