Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Up to £65 per hour (Umbrella) – Initial 3 Months – Remote Working
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are working with a well-established Combined Authority who are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their team on an interim basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile regional initiatives and play a key role in the Authority’s commercial and regeneration projects.
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Location: Remote working (with first day attendance)
Duration: Initial 3 months with potential for extension
Rate: Up to £65 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: Full time preferred, part time considered
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial and grant funding agreements
Providing legal advice on public sector initiatives and partnership projects
Advising on procurement and subsidy control where relevant
Offering pragmatic and solution-focused legal advice to senior stakeholders
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (or equivalent)
Demonstrable experience in commercial contracts within the public sector
Strong understanding of procurement, subsidy control, and governance principles
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with senior officers
