Overview
We are actively looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team. Our local Commercial team has grown rapidly over the last 14 years, and we now have over 200 people within the team across the UK. In this role you will be responsible for building rapport with new and existing clients, who could range from sole traders to the MD/CEO of a large organisation, and working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build rapport with new and existing clients and work with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.
- Review client documentation with strong attention to detail to ensure information is comprehensive and accurate to support the quoting process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external contacts to meet expectations and compliance standards.
- Assist Commercial Account Executives in achieving high levels of renewal retention while exceeding customer expectations and meeting FCA requirements.
- Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support and improve high levels of client service and internal process execution, enabling informed analysis.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing client documentation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external contacts.
- Willingness to learn; open to progressing in a career as a Commercial Account Handler and pursuing professional qualifications.
- Ability to process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support client service and process execution.
