Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a college in Wimborne Minster. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young adults with autism and social emotional mental health difficulties. This ongoing role offers full-time hours, starting ASAP. You will be responsible for following education plans and building meaningful relationships with vulnerable students. A clear DBS check is required.

• Clear DBS registered to the update service.

Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant - College - Poole, Dorset.

SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a college, that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support young adults who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing.

Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm

The ideal teaching assisant -

• will have at least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
• experience supporting students aged16-25
• able to follow students ECHPs
• experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background
• the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
• have a clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked.
