Overview

CNC Setter/Operator
Wigston (LE18)
Monday - Friday
17.80p/hr (14.71p/hr during initial training)
Urgent: Full Time

We are looking for experienced CNC setter/operators who are looking to expand their skills, learn new machines and can commit to a rotating shift within a busy and rapidly expanding aerospace company in Wigston.

Responsibilities

Initially you will be setting & operating machinery, to produce high end intricate aerospace components.

You will be responsible for using micrometers to ensure the component matches the drawing.

Working to both quality & production targets.

Shift pattern

Shift rotation:

Days - Monday to Thursday 05:45 - 13:45 Friday 05:45 - 10:45

Afternoon - Monday to Thursday 13:45 - 21:45 Friday 10:45 - 15:45

Nights - Monday to Thursday 21:45 - 05:45 Friday 15:45 - 20:45

Your initial training is on fixed days (average 2 - 4 weeks), then moved to the rotating shift pattern. While training you will be on 14.71 then once on rotating pattern moved up to 17.80.

To be considered

Because you will be trained on new CNC machinery, we are looking for people with a strong background as a setter/operator on Milling or Turning machines, someone with experience working on metal components.

Able to accurately use micrometers, and be flexible enough to work the rotating shift pattern.
