Overview

Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprise is a community business providing various housing related services in and around the East End of Glasgow. The domestic will work as part of a small team carrying out a range of cleaning tasks on behalf of Shettleston Housing Association and other clients. Due to the nature of the work, a reasonable level of fitness is required. The work will involve contact with the public and employees should have a polite and friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
• Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
• Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
• Suction cleaning carpeted areas and “spot” cleaning carpets
• To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, and window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments
• To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required within the contract
• To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins
• Deep cleaning and close cleaning
