The successful candidate must be a qualified, GDC registered Dental Nurse

As Clinical Practice Coordinator at Bupa Dental Care, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Practice Manager with the clinical and compliance aspects of practice operations. You will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care by coordinating clinical governance, infection control, and regulatory compliance. This role bridges clinical leadership and operational excellence, working closely with dental nurses, clinicians, and administrative staff to uphold Bupa's values and standards.

People
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Practice Manager for all clinical administrative tasks. Maintain effective clinical governance systems ensuring smooth running of the practice to enhance patient care and practice performance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to dental nurses and trainee nurses.
  • Assist with onboarding, induction, and competency development of clinical staff.
  • Actively participate in practice meetings and training sessions.
  • Promote a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Deputise for the Practice Manager in clinical matters when required.

  • Act as a patient advocate and chaperone when necessary.
  • Manage and respond to clinical-related patient feedback and complaints.

Performance
  • Oversee infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and act as IPC Lead.
  • Ensure clinical equipment is maintained, cleaned, and compliant with regulations.
  • Lead on clinical audits and implement action plans.
  • Support the Practice Manager in ensuring CQC, GDC, and NHS compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to practice reporting and KPIs.
  • Ensure stock control and waste reduction in clinical areas.
Skills & Experience
  • Recognised qualification in dental nursing and GDC registration.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical leadership or coordination.
  • Strong understanding of infection control and clinical governance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • IT literate with experience in practice management systems.
  • Experience of delivering high quality customer care
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Experience in coaching and leading clinical staff.
  • Knowledge of Dentally or similar systems.
  • Experience in managing audits and compliance processes.
