A regional health authority is inviting applications for the Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine role, based at Prince Charles Hospital in the United Kingdom. This position offers a chance to enhance career development with specialized teaching sessions. Applicants will engage in direct patient care in the Emergency Department and choose a 20% specialty interest at interview. The role is for 6 months with a possibility of extension, involving a full shift rota including nights and weekends.
CTMUHB would like to invite applications for the Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine with specialty interest. The post will combine working in the Emergency Department (ED) at Prince Charles Hospital (PCH) on the senior rota with weekly dedicated teaching sessions. The post will be based in Prince Charles Hospital. We envisage the split for this post at 80% in Emergency Medicine and 20% in your chosen Specialty Interest (Specialty to be confirmed at interview). The post: SCF 80% in Emergency Medicine. The post will offer opportunities for career development, through Life Support courses, Clinical Audit, Grand Round Presentations, Complaints Management, development and/or updating of Care Pathways, support and mentoring of medical students, bedside ultrasound and a bespoke senior weekly consultant lead teaching programme. The Post: 20% Specialty Interest You will be able to choose from a few specialties. These can be discussed and chosen at interview. We currently have specialist interest posts in US, ITU, Anaesthetics, Bike Park Wales, (mountain bike park), CHARU (prehospital 999 work), Green Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Medical Education. The post is designed for individuals who would like to gain further experience in Emergency Medicine in the UK. The post is for 6 months with possibility of 6 months extension. You will be expected to work a full shift rota including nights and weekends.
