Climbing Coach – Parthian Climbing Southampton

Parthian Climbing Southampton is looking for an energetic, people-focused coach to join our team and help drive the continued growth of our centre and community.

Since opening in spring 2021, our centre has built a vibrant local climbing scene powered by a thriving youth programme and a passionate, dedicated customer base. We’re now seeking an experienced climbing coach who can deliver exceptional sessions and play a key role in our next stage of development, strengthening our community, expanding our customer offering, and ensuring every climber has an outstanding experience.

As a Coach, you’ll work closely with our coaching team to deliver high-quality sessions, support business growth, and uphold our commitment to excellent customer service, robust safety standards, and a positive team culture.

About the Centre

Our facility includes:

  • Extensive bouldering, top-roping, lead climbing, and auto-belays
  • A dedicated gym space and climbing-specific training area
  • A busy café offering locally sourced food and drinks
  • A retail area providing essential climbing equipment
  • A vibrant events calendar including national competitions and in‑house community events
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality sessions.
  • Drive exceptional customer experience and maintain a welcoming environment
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and positive engagement
Essential Attributes
  • CWDI preferred [CWI + experienced personal indoor lead climber will also be considered]
  • Foundation Coach qualified & BMC workshops
  • Experience in delivering Lead & Bouldering coaching sessions.
  • Hands‑on, proactive attitude and willingness to support all centre operations
  • Strong understanding of the local climbing community and growth opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business.
Desirable Attributes
  • Development Coach training or equivalent
  • Gym Level 2 fitness qualification or equivalent
  • Competition coaching experience

Training support will be provided where needed.
