Overview

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for a well-established automotive logistics provider based in Tamworth. This is a Monday to Friday night role with no weekend work, offering consistent routes and a stable working schedule.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of automotive parts including cages, pallets with engines or gearboxes (offloaded via pump truck) and light boxed items (e.g., paper bumpers).
• Load your own vehicle, with assistance from the loading team.
• Two deliveries per night: Hinckley first, then London. Both delivery points are unmanned overnight; you will be issued keys and access codes to let yourself in and will be required to secure the site on departure.
• Let yourself into the lockup area, deliver and collect returns/empties for return to Mobis.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 penalty points - no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• Safety boots and hi-vis must be always worn.
• Physically fit and able to unload using a pump truck or manual handling for smaller items.

Assessment Process

• All candidates must attend a site-based assessment which includes:
• Highway Code theory test
• Reversing onto a bay and general yard manoeuvres
• 45-minute driving assessment
• If successful, you'll complete induction and onboarding paperwork on the same day.
