Overview

Here at Driver Hire Southampton we are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Night Drivers to work on behalf of our clients specialising in general haulage deliveries.

Responsibilities

• AD HOC ongoing work varied between Monday to Friday
• Start times vary between 6:00pm and 8:00pm (10-12-hour shifts)
• Deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage goods
• Driving a Class 1 curtain sider (sometimes may be on a double decker)
• One delivery to main hub in the midlands
• Pallets are forklifted off the vehicle

Requirements

• Full UK Class 1 licence
• Valid CPC and Digi card
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
• Great communication skills
• Strapping experience
• Experience with curtain sider trailers/ general haulage deliveries
• Own transport to commute to and from work
• Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
• Complete daily vehicle checks
• Comply with the company\'s health and safety procedures
• Record Tacho hours correctly
