Overview

Position: Class 1 HGV Driver

Salary: £43,333.65

Location: Reading - RG2 0BS

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday; Start time between 04:30 and 06:00

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Multi drop delivery of products to customers premises, delivering bulk loads, picked directly from vehicle for delivery to customer (covering: Reading, Luton and London areas)
• 2 person driving team - 2nd driver/driver\'s mate will be allocated
• Work 2x weekends in December as this is their busiest time of year
• Some deliveries will be in Central London
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers\' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Count and check all products, compare to manifest and complete a visual check for any anomalies and damages
• Work in a physically demanding environment in a safe manner
• Manual handling will be required for this role

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving License, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• You must have 6 months HGV driving experience
