Overview

Civil Infrastructure Engineer / Senior Engineer – Location: Woking | Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) | Start Date: October/November 2025

Join a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy as a Civil Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Engineer in their Woking office. With eight offices across the UK, this consultancy specialises in transportation, civil engineering, and environmental projects, and is currently expanding its civils team to support a growing pipeline of development work.

You'll become part of a close-knit team of 12 civil engineers in Woking, working collaboratively with colleagues across the company. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of development planning projects, including residential, commercial, school schemes, and community parks.

The Role

Your work will focus primarily on drainage design (around 60%), with the remainder involving highways design. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports
  • Designing drainage and highway infrastructure to support S104, S38, and S278 applications
  • Undertaking technical assessments for new developments
  • Producing and reviewing designs using AutoCAD and Civils 3D
  • Supporting junior staff by reviewing outputs, drawings, and reports
  • Writing technical reports and liaising with clients and project managers to coordinate project delivery
What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in UK-based development infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design standards (e.g. DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, national planning policy)
  • Proven experience with S38, S278, and S104 design processes
  • Proficiency in MicroDrainage and/or Causeway Flow, along with AutoCAD and Civils 3D
  • A full UK driving licence for site visits
