Overview

Our Team: Our water resources team delivers projects for several domestic and international private and public sector clients. Projects will include work on Dams and Reservoirs, water supply systems and flood risk management projects. We offer a diverse range of experience for candidates with a wide spectrum of interests and career goals. Responsibilities
  • Design: work closely with your manager and peers in the design phase of projects. This will involve creating and modifying drawings using CAD software, producing calculations, and performing design tasks.
  • Project Management Support: assist in project-related tasks such as research, data gathering, and preparing reports.
  • Field Visits: participate in site visits to gain practical experience, including site surveys, inspections and shadowing experienced engineers carrying out supervision.
  • Collaboration & Communication: participate in meetings with clients, contractors and other professionals to discuss project requirements, progress and challenges.
Qualifications
  • BEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
  • MEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering; related MSc would be an advantage.
  • Water-related modules would be an advantage.
  • Relevant work experience would be an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
  • Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) essential; good report writing skills beneficial.
  • Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.
  • Demonstrable interest in water projects.
  • Ability to satisfy client and business expectations and consider the wider financial and commercial implications of actions.
  • Effective communication with internal and external clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to structure and prioritise work through close cooperation with the team.
  • Ability to work independently without losing initiative and focus.
