A local childcare service in England is seeking a part-time childcare practitioner for their breakfast club and after school care. Overview

We have a position available for a childcare practitioner in our breakfast club and after school care service. We are a well-established, busy out-of-school care service and the ideal candidate would have a fun, enthusiastic and positive personality.

As well as providing a safe and secure environment, your main duties will include escorting the children to and from school, planning and organising activities with the children, the provision of healthy snacks, as well as ensuring relevant paper work is complete and up to date. You should enjoy arts and crafts, active games and activities, outdoor play and have an appetite for creating memorable play experiences.

A good understanding of GIRFEC and the SHANARRI indicators, UNCRC and the play work principles is desirable. Experience within an out of school care environment would be advantageous although not essential as training, support and guidance will be provided.

The position is for breakfast club (1 hour per morning) and after school care (3.5 hours per afternoon).

Salary: £12.21 - £12.40 per hour (Qualification Determined)

Hours

Term Time: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 9:00am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm

Holidays: We operate for 5 weeks of school holidays and all successful applicants are expected to be available during these times.
