A prominent healthcare trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Chief Pharmacy Information Officer to lead digital transformation in pharmacy services. This role involves overseeing the implementation of digital pharmacy systems, ensuring compliance with national standards, and providing leadership in stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy informatics and proven leadership skills. The Chief Pharmacy Information Officer (CPIO) will act as the senior pharmacy professional and strategic lead for digital transformation of trust wide services and informatics involving medicines. This role ensures the Digital Pharmacy Strategy aligns with trust business plans and the overarching Digital and Data Strategy. The post holder will provide expert advice, leadership, and management to enable strategic transformation, ensuring medicines processes are supported by trust-wide digital systems.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
In addition to being the digital pharmacy lead for the trust the post holder will also act as the lead for Education and Training aspects of the Trust Pharmacy service, ensuring a strategic approach is in place to ensure all pharmacy professionals involved in the service keep pace with profession level expectations.
