Overview

As a Catering Assistant you will...

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Catering Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings. The school is in Victoria and caters for 230 students and 40 teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Prepare salads for lunch.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Prepare and serve hospitality when necessary.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to foodservice procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Demonstrate a passion for creating delicious dining experiences that fuel young minds and ignite taste buds.
  • Ideally have experience working within education catering and have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Be flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused, team player, well-organised, and attentive to detail.
