Overview

Are you looking for a position in a bustling cafe environment? Our client is seeking a General Assistant to join Bantock Cafe. If you have a passion for customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Location: Bantock Cafe. Pay: £11.79 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Unlocking and locking up the cafe and outlying buildings as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and serving food and beverages in a friendly and polite manner.
• Assist the Cook Supervisor in food and beverage preparation.
• Operate the till register and ensure secure transactions.
• Handle cash procedures, including cashing up at the end of the day and assisting with banking and record-keeping.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and cafe areas.
• Adhere to high standards of personal hygiene and dress code.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and individually.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations is desirable but not a requirement.
