Job Title: Part Time Cook/Catering Assistant

Job Details

• Area: Irvine
• Location: The Chuck Wagon, Lamont Place, Irvine, KA12 8JB
• Hours of Work: Weekdays and some weekends. Current available hours: 16 per week. Additional shifts to cover busy periods and annual leave may be required.
• Typical hours: 8.30am – 4.00pm Mon–Sat and 9.30am – 4.00pm on Sunday (set days on a fortnightly cycle).
• Wage: Meets minimum wage. Negotiable depending on experience.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook/Catering Assistant in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Hygiene certificates preferred but not essential.
• Customer Service experience preferred but not essential.
• Driving Licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality production, and personal hygiene.
• Be an excellent team player and willing to learn new food preparation, cooking skills and procedures.
• Work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment while maintaining high standards.
• Demonstrate a warm, outgoing personality with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
• Maintain clean and presentable appearance with excellent personal hygiene.
• Serve customers, operate a till and handle cash as required.
• Carry out cleaning tasks regularly.
