Job summary

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef / Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.

About the job

• Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery and cater for children with specific dietary needs
• Instill Storal Values to Food and Hygiene and comply with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health—Food Safety, Health & Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted
• Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences
• Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation
• Be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines
• Deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when required

About you

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
