A local government council in Scotland is seeking Casual Leisure Attendants to work at Dumfries Ice Bowl. You'll ensure customer safety, assist with various tasks, and promote leisure activities. Ideal candidates are motivated individuals with experience in customer care and a passion for community. This role includes shift work and offers access to an exciting benefits package.

£13.48 per hour
Based at Dumfries Ice Bowl we are looking for Casual Leisure Attendants, to cover a wide range of duties within the facility. These posts will include shift work including weekends and evenings.
We require passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of a team carrying out general leisure attendant duties. These duties will include; ensuring customer safety at all times, ice stewarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and staff, undertaking cleaning duties, set-up/set-down of sports equipment in a safe environment, assisting in the ice making process and assisting with general maintenance tasks.
You will also assist in actively promoting Dumfries Ice Bowl and Leisure and Sport activities at all times.
Experience of working with the general public, children and customer care is essential and you will ideally have experience of working in a Leisure Centre. You must also be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. A First Aid certificate, basic leisure qualification and the ability to skate are desirable.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
