The Venue

Voted Best New Venue in the World 2014 at the Stadium Business Awards, first direct arena has hosted incredible artists since opening in September 2013, including Sir Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Bublé, Gary Barlow, Prince, Miley Cyrus, Le Tour De France Grand Depart, John Bishop, Championship Boxing, Queen + Adam Lambert, Fleetwood Mac, Premier League Darts, Neil Young, Bette Midler, Drake, Morrissey, The Eagles, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, The MOBO Awards, and Mumford and Sons.

The Role

First direct arena, Leeds, is the largest indoor entertainment venue in Yorkshire. Hosting approximately 100 events annually, it features exhibitions, touring shows, stand-up comedy, live music, and various entertainment events.

Working at first direct arena offers flexible shifts to fit around your other commitments. We seek experienced, enthusiastic individuals to join our casual food and beverage team for event-driven work.

Customer service is central to our operations. We value team players with a positive attitude, pride in their work, excellent communication skills, and experience working in busy, high-pressure environments.

About the Role

We are excited to offer opportunities for Casual Food & Beverage Assistants to create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Your friendly and positive attitude will make a difference whether serving drinks, preparing food, or assisting customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving snacks and drinks
  • Assessing and meeting customer needs
  • Checking IDs to confirm legal drinking age
  • Restocking inventory and supplies
  • Providing excellent guest service
  • Following all food and beverage regulations

Recruitment Process
