Overview

Job Vacancy: Carpenter. Location: Weymouth. Rate: £23.00 per hour. Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week. Department: Response Repairs - Maintenance Team. Vehicle: Van provided with maintained stock.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our Response Repairs Team in Hampshire. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs, installations, and refurbishments across residential properties. You'll play a key role in ensuring that work is completed safely, professionally, and in line with customer expectations. Responsibilities
  • Hanging doors, glazing, scarfing
  • Fitting architraves, skirting boards, and bath panels
  • Kitchen fitting and adjustments
  • Garage door maintenance and fitting
  • Lock changes and uPVC window fitting
  • Studwork, boxing, stairs, and bannisters
  • Performing on-site risk assessments
  • Accurate recording of work using handheld PDA systems
  • Managing van stock and ensuring cost-effective use of materials
  • Collaborating with other trades where necessary
What You'll Need
  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled carpentry role
  • Knowledge of British Standards and best trade practices
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Experience using mobile technology (PDAs or smartphones) for scheduling and job completion
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A customer-focused mindset and excellent communication skills
