A care support service provider is seeking a part-time Care Assistant for a young lady in Morpeth. The role involves providing supervision, assisting in social activities, and ensuring her safety. Applicants should be patient, creative, and preferably have experience with young individuals who have disabilities. A full UK driving license and personal car are necessary for the role. Training for specific needs such as epilepsy will be provided. Competitive hourly rate of £13.74, with holiday entitlement.
We are looking to recruit a support worker for a fun and energetic 21‑year‑old lady who has a diagnosis of Autism, a Learning Disability, Delayed Development and Epilepsy. Ideally you will be creative, full of ideas and passionate about working with young people who require additional support.
You will be required to provide close supervision at all times to ensure her safety, learn about her communication and have patience to build a strong bond and help her express herself in positive ways. If you’ve worked with young people before and have experience, that’s an advantage, but if not, we will provide the necessary training.
You will have the opportunity to join in her favourite activities such as walking, shopping, cinema and beach. She is particularly keen on animals so you must be comfortable to help her access them safely.
Training will also be provided for Epilepsy.
Car driver essential and must be insured for business use. The successful candidate will require an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS), cost to be met by employer.
This role requires someone who’s available for 6 hours a month initially, on a flexible basis to suit both parties.
£13.74 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro‑rated. Any out‑of‑pocket expenses will be met by the employer and will be explained at interview. Benefit access to ILG PA, which will also be explained at interview.
