• Over 4 years' engineering experience with powered access equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to use, repair and maintain machines and tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs), routine servicing, LOLER examinations, repairs, and general maintenance of the rental equipment fleet.
• Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns when required.
• Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

CAP LOLER Qualified Engineer - The Role

A PA CAP (Competent Assessed Person) Engineer is responsible for carrying out thorough examinations of powered access platforms to ensure they are safe and compliant. This includes inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, often using specialist tools and diagnostic equipment. The PA CAP Engineer is also authorised to complete and sign off the mandatory 6‑monthly LOLER inspections for powered access (PA) equipment.

CAP LOLER Qualified Engineer - Key skills & Duties

• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs), routine servicing, LOLER examinations, repairs, and general maintenance of the rental equipment fleet.
• Validate machinery following inspection to confirm it meets operational and safety standards.
• Collaborate with yard staff to ensure all equipment is maintained to excellent working condition.
• Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns when required.
• Inspect machinery for defects and wear.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks.

CAP LOLER Qualified Engineer - You

• IPAF CAP training program (LOLER).
• IPAF 1a, 3a, 3b Operators License.
• Over 4 years' engineering experience with powered access equipment.
• Operating of MEWPs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem solver.
• Able to use, repair and maintain machines and tools.
